Director of Short-Term Missions Sheryl Smith has a Bachelor’s Degree in English and has taught elementary and middle school in the public school systems in Texas and Oklahoma.  She did post-graduate work at East Central State University in Oklahoma and attended Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas.  She has also studied at Denver Seminary.

Sheryl grew up in a Christian home and has known Jesus for “as long as I can remember” but came to a new understanding of “who He really is and who He wants to be in my life” as a young teenager.  She has served in ministry most of her adult life, first alongside her husband, Dan, as a pastor’s wife and later in staff positions in different churches.  Staff positions she has held include Director of Women’s Bible Studies, Counseling Intern, and Director of Administration at churches in Texas, and most recently, Director of Ministry Integration at Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

Sheryl is an avid reader, loves to knit, cross-stitch, paint, hike, travel, ride horseback and spend time with her family.
