International Christian Cycling Club

Start pedaling with a purpose

For those who love cycling at any level, IC3 invites volunteers to get involved in various opportunities in Colorado.

HOPE prays

Please pray that our club would be salt and light for the cycling community. I also add a prayer of gratitude for all God has done to answer our club members’ prayers this season. —Al Medina

Praise God! Pray that God's will shall be done in our spoke even as we seek to be witnesses of Christ on our bikes here in Kenya. I also need God's wisdom to lead our ¨young¨ Kenyan spoke. —Kennedy Ndigia

Int'l Christian Cycling Club

The mission of the International Christian Cycling Club (IC3) is to expose bicyclists to the love and grace of Jesus Christ so they may want to have a personal relationship with him, and to unite Christian cyclists for a worldwide testimony in lifestyle, training and sportsmanship.

Putting wheels on their faith

The Colorado spoke of IC3 includes about 75 members, many of whom are members of Cherry Hills Community Church. This ministry serves the cycling community by hosting recreational rides and races. Enjoying the terrain and beauty of Colorado through mountain biking is made even more gratifying through the opportunity to share the love of Christ with fellow cyclists. IC3 has both a mountain bike team and a road team.

Recreational Mountain Riding Program

IC3 provides a public service and represents Christ to guests on the trail through its recreational mountain bike ride program held on alternating weekends from May through September. The team is always looking for cyclists to help lead rides on Saturdays and to be part of their outreach effort. The team also works with event organizers at the annual Elephant Rock Classic to provide trail support, course marshals and a Christian presence. The Elephant Rock Classic is open to the public that attracts up to 7,000 cyclists.

Mountain Racing Program

IC3 racers represent Christ in general at races throughout the state (primarily the Winter Park Points Series) through their conduct, attitude and service. For example, IC3 has a tent at the “24 Hours of Moab” race each October where free food, mechanical support, a place to warm up, a prayer table and chapel service are available to the 5,000 to 10,000 bikers who participate.

Wheels of Thunder

The big annual road racing event, The Wheels of Thunder Classic, is unique because up to 30 different groups start their races with a prayer from an IC3 member. The event also qualifies as an American Cycling Association-sanctioned race.

After the race season winds down, Wheels of Thunder holds training rides from September through March. These Saturday rides are an opportunity for IC3 members to have fellowship and expose friends to Christian cyclists and, hopefully, Christ himself.
