The Empowering Ministries team exists to help establish and support the growth of national churches in strategic areas of the world by empowering missionaries and mobilizing people from Cherry Hills to serve in the field.
God’s growing worldwide kingdom
The church worldwide represents local churches and ministries in strategic areas of the world that have a Christian body of national believers headed by indigenous leadership. These ministries are either growing in size or in scope through additional outreach efforts. Many of these emerging local ministries are small and have less formally trained leadership while others are well established, large in number and have strong, theologically trained leadership.
Worldwide, people are coming to know Christ, committing their lives to him and working to bring their own people into God’s kingdom. The Empowering Ministries team supports missionaries all over the world. Empowering Ministries team endeavors to follow God’s direction in order to explore and develop new ministry opportunities for Cherry Hills Community Church.
Strengthening the global church
The Empowering Ministries team supports missionaries that are, in some capacity, working with these local ministries. Through the team, selected missionaries receive monthly financial and prayer support, and are encouraged through their relationships with team members here at home. The team’s relationships with these missionaries are key to providing effective forms of emotional and physical support.
Through regular communication and occasional visits from team members, missionaries in various parts of the world are encouraged and strengthened to continue in their ministries. When missionaries under the team come into town, team members provide housing, transportation, etc., and focus on developing their relationships with them. An important part of the team’s monthly meetings is praying for each missionary’s needs.
