Arrogant. Overfed. Unconcerned.

"Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy." —Ezekiel 16:49 NIV

Those words sting. But we can turn the story around by extending the hand of compassion and raising the voice of justice on behalf of those who suffer.

Declaration of HOPE

Express your faith and support by signing the Declaration of HOPE that affirms our vision and calling as Cherry Hills Community Church. Add your name to the Declaration.

What It Means to Love Your Neighbor

"We are learning that it is all about relationship. Christ asks us to 'love our neighbor as ourselves,' and that’s what brings healing. We no longer believe we are called to 'fix' the poor, but we are to love and serve the poor. When we love someone, we give them respect, dignity and value."

Hungry for Health

"Now, with good food in the community refrigerator and cabinets, I see parents building meals around those nutritious ingredients. I see children walking around with strawberries and carrots (they LOVE the carrots!), and instead of spilled pop on the Great Room floor, I see squished grapes...a real improvement!"

Help the poor, the vulnerable and the sick

At Cherry Hills Community Church, our core commitment to Missions & Outreach heeds the call of Jesus to care for those on the margins of life. HOPE begins with concern for “the least of these.”

They are poor, with no means to raise themselves up.
They are vulnerable, with no one to defend their dignity.
They are sick, with no one to bind up their wounds.

And they are precious in the sight of God, body and soul.

HOPE provides

Through a unique partnership between suburban and urban Christian leaders who share the same concern for people in need, our City Ministry serves organizations and churches that provide basic needs for low-income people in the inner city of Denver.

Also close to home, our Manna Ministry demonstrates the love of Jesus by offering a weekly food bank, clothing bank, medical clinic and haircuts to individuals and families in our congregation and local community.

HOPE heals

The unique urgency of HIV/AIDS compels our AIDS Initiative and Global Justice to mobilize the Cherry Hills community with compassion and medical provisions to reach those infected and affected by the disease locally, nationally and globally

Our Imagine India team seeks the lost and forgotten in a vast nation whose caste system oppresses 250 million “untouchables” known as Dalits. We provide medical care, educational opportunities and economic development, and work alongside the Indian church to plant new churches.

HOPE extends

Around the world, our Compassion Ministry team organizes short-term missions and supports long-term missionary partners serving among the poor in El Salvador, Mexico, Honduras, South America, Sudan, Namibia, Israel, Kazakhstan, the Philippines and the United States.

Our Empowering Ministries team helps establish and support the growth of national churches and indigenous Christian leaders in strategic areas of the world by empowering missionaries and mobilizing people from Cherry Hills to serve in international ministry.

Our Discover the World short-term missions program unites teams around ministry projects that provide hands-on, life-changing experiences and a greater awareness of desperate needs around the world.

HOPE informs

To raise up a new generation that is informed and involved in relevant ministry, we offer an integrated Children’s Missions Program as a collaboration of our Grace Place Children’s Ministry and Missions & Outreach department.

Similarly, our U.S. Ministries team provides resources and opportunities to equip our congregation in effectively expressing their influence as Christians in key areas of government, media, education and social issues that affect human life.
