Think Again
Think it’s easy to lead? Read the Scripture below and think again. Those who do choose to lead need training, mentoring and guidance. It’s our responsibility as the church to equip these future leaders, to arm them with the tools, knowledge and spiritual support they need to lead and guide the generations to come.
"If anyone wants to provide leadership in the church, good! But there are preconditions: A leader must be well-thought-of, committed to his wife, cool and collected, accessible, and hospitable. He must know what he's talking about, not be overfond of wine, not pushy but gentle, not thin-skinned, not money-hungry. He must handle his own affairs well, attentive to his own children and having their respect. For if someone is unable to handle his own affairs, how can he take care of God's church?"
—I Timothy 3:1-5, The Message

THUMB's Up for
Mission Messengers
"For several years, we have been adopted by Bible Blast kids. We have enjoyed doing lessons about the winter Olympics, the THUMB religions, the Uzbeks, the Malay, the Dalits and many others. One day when we still lived in Denver, a child saw me in the aisle of a local store and told his mom, 'That’s the THUMB lady!'"
Barefoot Doctor
"For the past 22 years I have ministered as an evangelist and Barefoot Doctor to the Hilltribes people of Thailand. I also act as translator and project coordinator for Frontier Labourers for Christ. ... In August of 2007, I came to America to begin my studies at Colorado Christian University (CCU) in Lakewood, Colorado."

Equip the next generation of leaders
When it comes to Missions & Outreach at Cherry Hills Community Church, perhaps our greatest opportunity is to empower a whole new generation to fulfill their God-given calling and potential.
We are pressing ahead.
We are passing the torch.
We are investing in the future—all the way to eternity.
Since Christ himself gave the word to take the Gospel to the world, each successive generation has joined in the cause of HOPE. Right now it’s our turn.
HOPE empowers
Our Mobilization & Member Care team provides orientation and training opportunities for those individuals in the congregation who are preparing for cross-cultural service, and then ensures that those serving under our Missions & Outreach program receive consistent care.
Our U.S. Ministries team provides resources and opportunities to equip our congregation in effectively expressing their influence as Christians in key areas of government, media, education and social issues that affect human life.
Through a unique partnership between suburban and urban Christian leaders who share the same concern for people in need, our City Ministry serves organizations and churches that provide basic needs for low-income people in the inner city of Denver.
HOPE inspires
Our Discover the World short-term missions program unites teams around ministry projects that provide hands-on, life-changing experiences and a greater awareness of desperate needs around the world.
To raise up a new generation that is informed and involved in relevant ministry, we offer an integrated Children’s Missions Program as a collaboration of our Grace Place Children’s Ministry and Missions & Outreach department.
Our Unreached Peoples team focuses on areas of the world that have no indigenous church and where Christians cannot be public about their purposes, so missionaries work under a secular front of business or study that allows them to be integrated into society wherever they are.
HOPE translates
Through Outreach Indonesia, a home-based support team partners with missionaries to help Indonesian Christians plant churches among the “Chantik”—a word meaning "beautiful" to describe a specific ethnic group of strict Sunni Muslims influenced by animistic ideology and various superstitions.
