Serving in West Africa with SIM
Ministry Team: Unreached Peoples
Tim and Janet Welch are serving in Côte d'Ivoire with SIM. Janet works with a women's development project called Hopestart Africa that helps women learn to sew and run a small business. She is also involved in developing a seminar that helps train African missionaries. Tim is the Côte d'Ivoire director for SIM and oversees personnel, member care and field administration. He also teaches at a local Bible school, helps run a Christian radio station and writes books on practical theology for Africa.
Tim and Janet have two adult children, Philip and Katie. They are members of Cherry Hills and have been supported by the church as missionaries since 1986.
