Helping to develop leaders and alleviate poverty in Mozambique

Ministry Team: Empowering Ministries

Dave and Amy are partnering with the church in Mozambique to help develop younger church leaders in the emerging generation. Many people recognize that the continent of Africa faces the enormous challenges of disease, poverty, and lack of infrastructure. However, the greatest challenge for Africa is a lack of leadership - even in the African church.

Dave works with existing church leaders who have little to no resources and helps develop their skill sets and vision in partnering with other Mozambican church leaders. He is also developing a number of businesses that can help to financially sustain local pastors and provide needed products and services for those struggling inside the church.

Amy partners with children’s workers inside of orphanages, schools, and the government, acting as an advocate for over 10 million Mozambicans who are under the age of 18. She is helping train children’s workers in areas of child development, and helping to establish adoption and foster care options that will help alleviate poverty.

Dave and Amy are working side by side with Roger and Lynne Schmidt, also CHCC supported missionaries.
