Serving children in Uganda
Ministry Team: Compassion
Luke Runyon is serving in Uganda with Food for the Hungry as the Child Development and Sponsorship Program Manager. Luke seeks to reach the children and adults in Uganda with Christ’s love and compassion and to work alongside them to help develop and strengthen their communities.
One example of this is a recent project in which Luke helped research and implement an agro-forestry project that corrected some of the deforestation and provided more jobs in a Ugandan community.
Luke is from Colorado, used to attend Cherry Hills, and his mother, Pat is also a Cherry Hills missionary.
Luke has been supported by Cherry Hills since 2000.
