A Biblical Perspective in the Marketplace
For too long there’s been a false dichotomy between the secular and the sacred. It says that what you do every day in the marketplace is part of the secular. On the other hand, your sacred time is reserved for attending church on Sunday morning, saying prayers with the kids at night or participating in your weekly Bible study.
And yet, of 132 public appearances of Jesus recorded in Scripture, 122 were in the marketplace. Of 52 parables Jesus told, 45 had a workplace context and Jesus called twelve workplace individuals to build his church.
At Cherry Hills Community Church, we’re helping to overcome this dichotomy by restoring a Biblical perspective of God-given talent and rallying workplace believers to use their skills in enterprises of transformation around the world.
