Midpoint Immersion Baptism

As your church family, we look forward to standing with you in this important commitment, which includes two events:
Your Story and Family Celebration
Wednesday, October 27, 5:45 p.m. in the Main Lobby
This mandatory meeting will allow you an opportunity to say or read a few words (2-3 minutes) about how you became a Christian and why you desire baptism at this time in your life. The baptism procedure and other details will be explained. Don’t be afraid! Remember, we are now all “family” and we want to share in the joy that Jesus has brought to your life.
Friends and family are invited to join you at this gathering. You have the option of arriving early to enjoy the Midpoint Dinner, cost is $4/person and you pay as you arrive. Dinner is served beginning at 5:00.
Immersion Baptism Service
Wednesday, October 27, 6:30 during the Midpoint Service in the Commons
The baptisms will take place during the Midpoint Service. We will have an area that you can keep extra clothes, etc. for after your baptism. We encourage you to wear appropriate clothing, i.e. shorts and t-shirt and to bring a robe or towel with you into the Midpoint Service.
The Pastor will announce when it is time for you to come forward. He will then proceed to baptize each of you. Once you have been baptized you will exit to the side. Please repeat your name to us, whereupon we will ask, “Who is your Lord and Savior?” If you can answer, “Jesus Christ”, we will “baptize you in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”
Registration
Immersion baptism is for anyone age 5 or older. Please register online after August 1.
Baptism Classes
Also being offered are classes on baptism for children
and youth that are strongly recommended leading up to the baptism
